- Summary:The Shenandoah Valley Soil & Water Conservation District (SVSWCD) is requesting applications for funding for injecting manure on agricultural land located in the counties of Augusta, Page, Rockingham, and Shenandoah. The SVSWCD invites contractors (for-hire manure haulers/applicators) to submit an application to this Request for Proposal (RFP). Funding is available through a National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) grant to promote and encourage local farmers and contractors to invest in and adopt manure injection technology. This funding includes two separate categories; one for farmers and one for contractors. The SVSWCD may move funds between these two categories.
