Project Description: The Town of Newport (Municipality) is performing roadway reconstruction along East Ayre Street between South James Street and South Augustine Street. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to: asphalt pavement resurfacing, including Full depth roadway reconstruction, manhole and utility adjustments, as necessary. Restoration of Portland Cement concrete curbing and sidewalk associated with removing and replacing existing curb ramps at the intersections of South Walnut Street & East Ayre Street and South Augustine Street & East Ayre Street has been included as an alternate bid item. The scope of the work is more fully described in the Project Specifications herein and in the Construction Details.
