2026 Major Streets

General work description:

Project work shall include one of the following descriptions per street:

Remove the existing asphalt/concrete pavement and replace with 7" concrete pavement.

2" mill 7" PCC Panel replacement and 2" asphalt overlay of existing asphalt pavement.

7" PCC Panel replacement on various streets.

The City of Florissant is soliciting bids for comprehensive street infrastructure improvements. The scope of work is categorized into three distinct project types designed to address varying levels of pavement degradation across the City.

1. Full-Depth Reconstruction

This phase involves the complete removal of existing pavement structures. Contractors will be responsible for subgrade preparation and the installation of a new 7" Portland Cement Concrete (P.C.C.) pavement section.

2. Concrete Panel Replacement (P.C.C.)

Localized rehabilitation will be performed on various streets throughout the City. This work consists of the removal and replacement of failed sections with 7" P.C.C. panels, ensuring seamless integration with existing pavement.

3. Mill, Patch, and Overlay

This multi-stage rehabilitation process includes:

• Milling: A 2" cold-milling of the existing surface.

• Panel Replacement: Identification and replacement of underlying failed concrete panels.

• Resurfacing: Application of a 2" bituminous asphalt overlay to provide a final, high-quality riding surface.
