The Astrea RFI is being moved to the Classified Acquisition Research Center (ARC). This RFI and all future acquisiton documentation will be released on the ARC site. Further instructions and a new RFI response date will be posted soon.

1.1 (U) The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in support of the Advanced GEOINT Services Program Office is seeking information on how interested contractors could provide the services described below in paragraph 2.1.
(U) The focus is on the measurement of surface optical properties and bulk properties of materials, the development of models that use the measurements to create signatures of interest, and the curation of material databases created by other organizations not software development, maintenance of existing software or exploitation
1.2 (U) The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gain information on current Industry practices that would meet NGA’s requirements.
1.3 (U) THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, NGA is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued.
