The Santa Cruz County Department of Community Development and Infrastructure, Recycling and Solid Waste Services invites sealed proposals for Organics and Select Construction and Demolition Debris Services from fully licensed, insured, bonded, certified CONTRACTORS to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals required to provide services for Santa Cruz County (County).
The County operates two disposal site facilities: the Buena Vista Landfill located at 1231 Buena Vista Drive, Watsonville, and the Ben Lomond Transfer Station located at 9835 Newell Creek Road, Ben Lomond. These facilities primarily serve the population of unincorporated Santa Cruz County and include municipal solid waste disposal and recycling programs.
The County is soliciting bid proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to provide Organics and Construction and Demolition Debris Services as detailed in this Specification.
The scope of this project shall include, but not be limited to: organics (food scraps, yard trimmings, and wood waste) and construction & demolition (C&D) debris (sheetrock and C&D wood, lumber, pallets and spools) receiving, transportation and processing services from fully licensed, insured, bonded, certified contractors to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals required to provide the aforementioned processing services
The term of this contract will be July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with the potential for three annual renewals through June 30, 2030.
