Irvine Unified School District (District) requests qualified Contractors (Bidders) to submit bids for unit cost pricing for concrete projects as outlined per the Bid Documents, Specifications, Special Provisions, Drawings and General Conditions.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

District is currently advertising in the Orange County Register and accepting bids until 1:00 pm on June 11, 2026.

It is the Bidder's responsibility to ensure its Bid is delivered and received by the time and at the location designated.  Any Bids received after the scheduled closing date and time shall not be accepted.

Questions ( RFI’s ) regarding this Bid must be received in writing via email to Joe Chapin at JoeChapin@iusd.org by 3:00 pm on May 29, 2026.Responses will be issued via email and/or website posting.

It is the Bidder's responsibility to notify the contact listed in this Bid of its interest and to monitor this site for any changes, updates, revisions, and/or uploaded documents.

The District reserves the right to reject any and all Bids. All materials submitted to the District in response to this bid shall remain the property of the District. The District shall not be responsible for the costs of preparing any submittal in response to this bid.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Irvine Unified School District of Orange County, California, acting by
and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as "DISTRICT," will receive up to, but not later than, the
above-stated bid deadline, sealed bids at the place identified above for the award of a contract for Bid No. 26/27-
01MO, Unit Cost Pricing for Concrete.
Project documents will be available on May 15, 2026 as a download at
https://iusd.org/about/departments/business-services/purchasing/current-bids-rfps.
In accordance with the provisions of Business and Professions Code Section 7028.15 and Public Contract Code
Section 3300, the DISTRICT requires that the bidder possess the following classification(s) of contractor's license
at the time the bid is submitted: CLASS C8. Any bidder not so licensed at the time of the bid opening will be
rejected as nonresponsive.
Questions regarding the bid must be received via e-mail to the attention of Joe Chapin at JoeChapin@iusd.org by
3:00 pm on May 29, 2026.
The DISTRICT reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids
or in the bidding process.
Effective April 1, 2015, all contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the DIR to submit a bid for a
public works project pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
The California Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rates of per diem wages
for the locality in which the work is to be performed for the Project. Copies of these wage rate determinations,
entitled Prevailing Wage Scale, are available at the following website: www.dir.ca.gov. It shall be mandatory
upon the successful bidder to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor listed, to pay not less
than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them for the Project.
No bidder may withdraw any bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for the opening of bids.
Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, the Agreement will contain provisions permitting the successful
bidder to substitute securities for any monies withheld by the DISTRICT to ensure performance under the
Agreement or permitting payment of retentions earned directly into escrow.
