The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (¿WMATA¿ or ¿the Authority¿) seeks to install new networking equipment into the entire 7000 series railcar fleet of 748 railcars as part of WMATA modernization efforts to current communication and video systems. These updates will provide video live look-in capabilities and real time data access for critical stakeholders via cellular and wireless capabilities to critical stakeholders such as Operations, Fleet Management, Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD), the Metro Integrated Command Center (MICC) and Senior Executives to assist in critical decision-making and incident response with efficiency and accuracy.
