Yes. The Contractor shall be responsible for locating and coordinating around existing
utilities. Note that electrical and irrigation lines run under the concrete sidewalks at the
front of the building. The contractor should use extreme caution in these areas, and if any
utilities are impacted, stop work immediately and contact the City of Duluth for repairs.

Any restrictions regarding the working days and hours that we should be
aware of?
Construction work will be allowed between 7:30 am and 6 pm on weekdays, and between
10 am and 6 pm on weekends/holidays.

How will the contractor access the secured areas behind the fence/gates?
Access to secured areas will be coordinated through the Police Department. The Contractor
shall coordinate scheduling and access requirements in advance.

Does the concrete work (including the stairs) at the entrance need to be
phased?
Yes. The Contractor shall phase the work as necessary to maintain continuous pedestrian
access to the front entrance throughout construction. The phasing plan shall be submitted
for review and approval by the Project Team by the selected contractor.

Will the existing Conex box at the rear corner of the site be moved prior to
construction?
No. The existing Conex box will remain in place. The Contractor shall preserve and protect
it from damage throughout construction and shall be responsible for any damage resulting
from construction activities.
