ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: VILLAGE PARK STORMWATER POND

Sealed bids will be received by the Village of Sussex, Village Clerk until 2:00 p.m. Central Time on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Village of Sussex, N64 W23760 Main Street, Sussex, WI 53089.

Bids submitted after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after specified closing time. Interested parties are invited to attend.

If a Bid is received by mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope containing the Bid shall be enclosed in a separate package plainly marked on the outside with the notation, “BID ENCLOSED – VILLAGE PARK STORMWATER POND,” and the name and address of the Bidder must be marked on the

outside of the envelope.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The proposed construction consists of construction and restoration of the stormwater pond with a Type A clay liner within the Village Park as shown on the plans; rock excavation; installation of storm sewer piping, apron endwalls, rip rap, and manholes; construction and restoration of ditch; construction of a gravel path; installation of conduit and pull boxes; installation of topsoil, seed, fertilizer, and erosion control mat; removals, erosion control and traffic control.

BASIS OF BIDS REQUIRED:

This is a unit price contract. The estimated quantities on the Bid Form are inserted only for the purpose of determining the low bidder.

PROJECT SCHEDULE:

Project is to be ready for Substantial Completion on or before Friday, August 8, 2025.

Project is to be ready for Final Completion on or before Friday, September 5, 2025.

PROCUREMENT OF DOCUMENTS:

Prequalification’s of prospective prime bidders is not required.
