The State of Minnesota, MNIT Services partnering with the Dept. of Corrections (DOC) intends to enter into an agreement with Johnson Controls, Inc. The agreement provides software maintenance and support related to DOC’s Metasys ADS software, this contract is for a 12 month term. The Minnesota Department of Corrections uses Metasys ADX as its enterprise‑level building automation and data management server, providing a centralized platform to monitor, control, and document facility operations.
Because Johnson Controls, Inc. retains exclusive ownership, copyright and trademark of their proprietary product and is solely responsible for providing the required maintenance, updates and patches, this has been deemed a single source purchase. None of these required products/services can be provided through third party entities.
If anyone has any concerns regarding this single source opportunity you must contact Doug Snyder via e-mail to doug.snyder@state.mn.us before May 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM CT (Central Time). Note: Include the reference number and title of the posting in the subject line.
