Responses to Contractors Questions
Question 1.
Is the City paying for railroad flaggers on the BNSF Quiet Zone project? Usually,
the contractor is reimbursed for railroad flagging costs under 109.04 on ILDOT
projects.
Answer: Railroad flagging is required for this project; however, all costs will be
covered by BNSF and grant funds. The Contractor shall not include railroad
flagging costs in their bid, as they will not be invoiced for these services.
All bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum.
I acknowledge receipt of Addendum No. 1.
