Overview

Summary

The City of Pasadena, Dept of Information Technology is seeking qualified contractors with experience in the design, installation, and support of Fire Station Alerting systems technology to bid on a turnkey Fire Station Alerting system for installation at the City of Pasadena, California Fire Station 36. The objective of this project is to improve emergency response reliability, firefighter safety, and overall community protection by replacing aging fire station alerting equipment at Pasadena Fire Station 36 located at 1140 N Fair Oaks Ave, Pasadena, CA 91103 with a modern and updated station alerting system. Bidders should have previous experience and knowledge of current Fire Station Alerting technology and demonstrate the recent completion of a similar project with state of the art features.

Background

The proposed project will replace outdated and unreliable fire station alerting equipment that no longer meets current operational and life-safety standards. The existing system lacks modern redundancy, clear audio/visual notification capability, and full integration with current dispatch systems, creating the potential for delayed or incomplete emergency alerts. These deficiencies can increase response times and compromise public safety.
