Request for Proposals: 2025-28 Crossing Guard Services

The City of Davis is seeking a qualified crossing guard company to provide crossing guard services to the City of Davis between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2028. The City of Davis has 15 crossing guard posts with 17 crossing guards (two locations have two crossing guards). The crossing guards help elementary and junior high school students cross the street while walking and biking to and from school. Crossing guards work during the academic school year and summer school. In addition, there is also a need throughout the year for temporary crossing guards to provide services near construction sites and along biking and walking detours.

The crossing guard company selected will need to begin service on July 1, 2025 to serve DJUSD summer school. The selected crossing guard company will be responsible for administering the crossing guard program, hiring, terminating and supervising staff. They will also need to ensure that all crossing guard staff are at their posts.

Questions about this RFP are required to be submitted via email to Jennifer Donofrio by October 30, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Questions submitted after the due date or via phone will not be accepted.

Proposals shall be delivered via email to Jdonofrio@cityofdavis.org no later than 4:00 p.m. local time (PT) on November 14, 2024.
