Blount County, TN, located in Maryville, TN, is seeking qualified vendors to supply and deliver bulk rock salt (sodium chloride) for use in winter road maintenance and ice control operations. Blount County, TN, requires a reliable source of deicing rock salt to maintain safe roadway conditions during winter weather events throughout the contract period. This solicitation establishes the terms under which the selected vendor will furnish product on an as-needed basis.

Bidders are encouraged to register with Blount County and submit their response through the online bidding system at this same link. Bidders must allow ample time to submit their response. No information may be submitted or modified
beyond
the Response Deadline Date / Time. However, bidders can begin uploading response attachments as soon as the bid is released.
Bids may be submitted electronically in this bidding system
or
manually by completing the full bid package contained here.
Manual (hard copy) bids are an optional method of response and must be submitted no later than the response deadline. Manual bids are to be delivered to the Blount County Courthouse, Purchasing Department, Room 319, 385 Court St., Maryville, TN 37804-5906. The hard copy bid documentation is located on the login page of the system, just after the heading "bid information" under "CURRENT BIDS", the header "BID DOCUMENTS" labeled "BID INVITATION." These hard copy submissions must also include ALL documentation requested in the online system including, but not limited to, all online bid document attachments, response attachments, amendments, attributes, line items, and must have the Bid Cover and Contractor Form (completed
with applicable license information)
attached to the OUTSIDE of the sealed envelope
containing all information to be submitted

Prior to bid submission, it is the bidder's responsibility

Again,
all bidders submitting a bid in this system are encouraged to begin uploading documentation as soon as the system is available.
