PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT
Action: Elevator Modernization at Taylorsville Lake, Taylorsville, Kentucky
1. General Description of the Business Opportunity
The U.S. Army Engineer District (USACE), Louisville, intends to award a firm-fixed-price, sole-source contract for the complete modernization of the elevator located in the control tower at Taylorsville Lake, Taylorsville, Kentucky.
The scope of work includes furnishing all personnel, labor, equipment, supplies, and materials necessary to replace and upgrade the elevator's critical electrical and mechanical components. This includes, but is not limited to, the controller, hoist machine motor, governor, and all related parts. With a period of performance of 365 days from the notice to proceed.
2. Justification for Noncompetitive Action
Competition for this requirement is not anticipated. This notice serves to announce the Government's intent to award on a noncompetitive basis in accordance with the authority of Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 6.103-1, as only one responsible source is available to meet the agency's needs.

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
