Replace Housing Unit A Boilers

1.0 GENERAL

1.1 Introduction

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, FPC Alderson, located at Glen Ray RD. Box Alderson, WV 24910, intends to make a single award to a responsible entity that will provide all necessary equipment to replace (2) two Lochinvar PBN1701-M13 Power Fin Boilers with 2 (two) new hot water boilers.

1.2 Background

FPC Alderson is a federal prison camp, which houses approximately 700 inmates. The prison was constructed in 1927. The institution is currently seeking to replace (2) two hot water boilers and all necessary components. FPC Alderson will purchase and install the (2) two hot water boilers in-house.

2.0 REQUIREMENTS

2.1 Equipment

A. High-efficiency hot water boilers designed for commercial heating applications.

B. AHRI Gross Output Rating: 1445 MBH (Maximum)

C. AHRI Input Rating:

D. Maximum: 1700 MBH

E. Minimum: 340 MBH

F. Net AHRI Rating (Water): 1257 MBH

G. Appliance Water Content: 5.75 gallons

H. Water Connections: 2-1/2” (inlet/outlet)

I. Gas Connections: 1-1/2”

J. Air and Vent Connections: 7”

K. Must support at least one of the following communication protocols:

a. BACnet

b. LONtalk

c. MODBUS

L. Equipment shall be supplied with a minimum of manufacturer warranty period of 10 years, to include the heat exchanger and/or tank against failure due to defects in materials or workmanship. For the lifetime of the product, the tank and/or heat exchanger against failure due to thermal shock should also be included. All parts are warranted for 1 year.
