Description: |
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR or the Department), Bureau of Geological Survey (BGS), requires the technical assistance of a qualified geologic contractor to provide technical support and expertise to the STATEMAP FY2024 Northampton County Karst Geohazard Mapping Project.
BGS is seeking a qualified contractor to perform work in Northampton County with expertise on sinkhole hazards in Cambrian to Ordovician carbonates. This work will include geologic mapping to reconcile the edge-match and geologic contact inconsistencies with updates based on the QL2 lidar Digital Elevation. Additionally, karst features will be inventoried and characterized. The data will be used to create a new digital 1:50,000-scale bedrock geologic map for the county with a karst sinkhole geohazard potential overlay.
