Request for Proposals: On-Call General Professional Engineering Services

The City of Davis is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide on-call services for general professional or services or municipal engineering services to be performed in a prompt, professional and workmanlike manner and in accordance with the standards of the profession. All work, unless otherwise specified, shall be provided on a time and materials basis, and completed to the satisfaction of the City Engineer or Public Works Director within the time periods allocated, as agreed to at the beginning of the assignment.

Services may include general consulting; civil engineering; land surveying; Capital Improvement Program project design, construction support and management; computer or manual drafting; Graphical User Interface (GIS) implementation; private development application reviews, staff augmentation, construction inspection, architectural design services, assistance with feasibility studies, utility modeling, project management, and other tasks associated with Public Works infrastructure design, construction, and/or operation as assigned and directed by the City Engineer or one of the Public Works Directors. All requests, questions or other communications regarding this RFP shall be made in writing to via email. Address all communications to Sandi Butterfield, Management Analyst. To ensure that written requests are received and answered in a timely manner, email correspondence is preferred. Mrs. Butterfield will distribute questions and the answers to all potential proposers.

If deemed of sufficient importance to the fulfillment of the purposes of this RFP, addenda may be issued which must be acknowledged by each proposer, if any such addendum could affect a proposer’s price.

Questions about this RFP are required to be submitted via email to Sandi by Monday, February 3, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Questions submitted after the due date or via phone will not be accepted. All substantive questions and answers will be posted below (PDF format) and distributed to applicants.

Submittal Information

Proposals shall be delivered via email to Sandi Butterfield at sbutterfield@cityofdavis.org . The proposals must actually be received on or before 10:00 AM local time on Friday, February 21, 2025 with the subject line: Proposal for On-Call General Professional or Municipal Engineering Services 2025. Proposals will be acknowledged during normal business hours.

No late proposals will be accepted for any reason. No exceptions will be allowed.

Proposers assume all risk of untimely or non-receipt of proposals.
