Description:

NOTICE TO BIDDERS: The State University of New York is seeking proposals for coating the 54 th St. Roof at the SUNY Global Center, located at 116 E 55th St, New York, NY 10022. The scope of work is:

  1. Prep gutter and roof area to be coated by power washing and degreasing any oil spots.
  2. Repair roof bubbles by cutting into the roof, releasing any air or liquid that is trapped beneath. Reglue or heat weld the roof back to the substrate and patch the roof opening with Gacopatch, or equivalent.
  3. Repair all penetrations and deteriorated seams with Gacopatch, or equivalent, according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. Coat the gutter and roof with Gacoflex A4271 BleedTrap base coat, or equivalent, according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. Finish the roof with Gaco SF4200 silicone-based sealant, or equivalent, according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Inspect and verify proper drainage of the gutters, drains, and leaders. Camera, snake, and clean all roof drain assemblies, gutter assemblies, and leaders from the roof to the building discharge.
  7. Repair or replace drains, drain baskets, and roof leaders, as needed.
  8. Roof is approximately 1,750 SQFT.
  9. This is a prevailing wage job.

The Contractor shall submit shop drawings and product data for all products needed to complete the project to the Owner for review and approval. Shop drawings include drawings, diagrams, schedules, product data, and other materials specifically prepared for the work by the Contractor to demonstrate some or all of the work. Product data includes standard illustrations, schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, and other relevant information.

The MBE, WBE & SDVOB goals are 11%, 19%, and 6% respectively. A non-mandatory pre-bid project walk-through will be available by contacting the technical contact listed in this advertisement.

Terms and conditions are attached. Contractor shall provide insurance with limits described in Schedule A, attached. SUNY reserves the right to make no award.
