Summary

The City of Surprise Sports and Tourism Department (the "City") invites all qualified firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for the Design Services of the Surprise Baseball Stadium, Texas Rangers Clubhouse, and the Kansas City Royals Clubhouse located at 15850 N Bullard Ave, Surprise, AZ 85374.

The design services ("Services") shall entail the provision of planning and designing related to the City's contemplated improvements and upgrades of the Surprise Baseball Stadium campus. This project consists of a partial remodel of the two Clubhouses, and Surprise Stadium. Stadium renovations including updating technology infrastructure, seating areas, concessions, merchandise and operational areas. Clubhouse renovations including updates to locker room spaces, office areas, conference rooms. Upgrades and potential new builds for player development and sports science technology.

The intent will be updating design and increasing building functionality. The design scope will include site development, landscape, civil improvements, site lighting and utility services. Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Protection, Civil Engineering and Landscape Design Services are included within this project.

Background

Surprise Stadium was completed in 2003 and has received only minor renovations to date. Original build of clubhouses were also completed in 2003 and both clubhouses received significant remodel in 2016. Current Rangers Clubhouse is approximately 45,000 square feet and the Royals Clubhouse is approximately 48,000 square feet.
