Title: Fault Monitoring System Upgrade on Light Rail Vehicles (“LRVs”)
Addenda: 1
Release Date: 10/15/2024
Due Date: 12/20/2024
General work description: VTA seeks proposals (each, a “Proposal”) from qualified firms (each, a “Proposer”) to provide the Fault Monitoring System Upgrade on Light Rail Vehicles (“LRVs”) (“Services”).
VTA is requesting proposals to upgrade its Fault Monitoring System (FMS) network equipment. The Proposer must furnish parts and labor to redesign, furnish, install, successfully integrate, and test the proposed FMS system on three light rail vehicles (LRVs) to replace obsolete FMS network equipment that is no longer supported by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The scope of services includes providing design, engineering, software development, integration, project management, parts, installations, testing, and commissioning as needed to achieve a fully integrated and functional FMS system on board three of VTA’s light rail vehicles. The parts must be provided as kits that can include electrical and mechanical equipment and hardware such as hard disk drives (HDD), fans, Echelon network hardware, bios batteries, touch screens, system software, cables, conduits, connectors, and other hardware for VTA maintenance staff to complete the installation on the remaining fleet. These parts will be detailed and assembled in kits, installed, and tested by the contractor on three light rail vehicles as part of the system upgrade. The work will also include training VTA staff to successfully install and do a performance test of the FMS system on the remaining light rail vehicle fleet.
