Separate sealed BIDS for the above-named project, will be
received by the City of Idaho Falls at the office of the Public
Works Department at 380 Constitution Way, Idaho Falls, Idaho
83402, until Tuesday, February 6, 2025, 10:00 am, and then
publicly opened and read aloud. Remote access to view the
opening will be provided to plan holders prior to the opening.

This project shall consist of the Contractor furnishing all of
the tools, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to remove
500 LF of curb & gutter and 150 SY of concrete, 4 hydrants, and
install 15 water main valves, 900 LF of 8” water main pipe, 2800
LF of 12” water main pipe, 15 water service lines, 10 hydrants,
8 inlet box frame & grate only, 500 LF of curb & gutter, 150 SY
of concrete sidewalk, 40 LF of pipe boring & jacking, and any
additional items specifically defined in the Bid Documents.

(cost: $60.00). Obtaining the documents from either of these
two locations will place the bidder on the official Plan Holders
List. Bids received from bidders not on the Plan Holders List
will be deemed non-responsive.
A Pre-Bid Conference of the proposed project will be conducted
at Thursday, January 30, 2025, 10:00 am - 10:30 am.
The meeting will be held remotely via Microsoft Teams. Details
for login are included in Article 4 of Document 00200 – Instructions
to Bidders. In-person participation is not available at this
time.

In determining the lowest responsive bid, the Owner will
consider all acceptable bids on a basis consistent with the bid
package. The Owner will also consider whether the bidder is a
responsible bidder.
Before a contract will be awarded for work contemplated
herein, the Owner will conduct such investigation as is necessary
to determine the performance record and ability of the
apparent low Bidder to perform the size and type of work specified
under this Contract. Upon request, the bidder shall submit
such information as deemed necessary by the Owner to evaluate
the Bidder’s qualifications.
All bids must be signed and accompanied by evidence of
authority to sign.
Bids must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of
a bid bond, certified check, cashier’s check or cash in the
amount of 5% of the amount of the bid proposal. Said bid security
shall be forfeited to the City of Idaho Falls as liquidated
damages should the successful bidder fail to enter into a
contract in accordance with their proposal as specified in the
Instructions to Bidders.
The City of Idaho Falls reserves the right to reject any or
all proposals, waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bids
received, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous
to the best interest of the City of Idaho Falls.
