Roanoke County, Virginia, has received an unsolicited proposal from G&H Contracting, Inc. for the renovation and expansion of Hollins Fire Station No. 5, located at 7401 Barrens Rd, Hollins, VA 24019, under the Public-Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act (PPEA). The county will evaluate the proposal and may negotiate an agreement with G&H Contracting. Competing proposals that comply with PPEA and county guidelines are welcome, with a submission deadline of 5:00 p.m. on January 5, 2026, to the Roanoke County Purchasing Division (5204 Bernard Drive SW, Suite 300-F, Roanoke, VA 24018). A $5,000 processing fee is required with submissions.Proposals must include one original, five copies, and one redacted copy (on USB or similar media) for potential FOIA requests. Selected entities must be available to present on January 20, 2026. The project budget is $5.3 million.
