The City of Marlborough (“City”), the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from contractors for the Fort Meadow Dam Maintenance project in Marlborough, Massachusetts, Contract No. ED 2025-18 for the Department of Public Works-Engineering Division in accordance with the documents prepared by the City of Marlborough. The project consists of performing dam maintenance activities consisting of tree and stump removal, clearing and grubbing of vegetation and debris, and construction of a rip rap channel within the stream bed to restore proper flow and prevent erosion. Work shall also include installation of temporary access and erosion controls as required for construction. Upon completion, all disturbed areas shall be loamed, seeded, and restored to preconstruction condition or better.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City of Marlborough (“City”), the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from contractors for the
Fort Meadow Dam Maintenance project in Marlborough, Massachusetts, Contract No. ED 2025-18
for the Department of Public Works-Engineering Division in accordance with the documents prepared by
the City of Marlborough. The project consists of performing dam maintenance activities consisting of tree
and stump removal, clearing and grubbing of vegetation and debris, and construction of a rip rap channel
within the stream bed to restore proper flow and prevent erosion. Work shall also include installation of
temporary access and erosion controls as required for construction. Upon completion, all disturbed areas
shall be loamed, seeded, and restored to preconstruction condition or better. The estimated project cost
is approximately $200,000.00. Bids are subject to M.G.L., c. 30, §39M, and to minimum wage rates as
required by M.G.L c.149, §26 through 27H inclusive. The Bid Package may be obtained as of 9:00 AM
on November 19, 2025 and must be downloaded from Projectdog.com by following these instructions:
Go to www.Projectdog.com to log in or click “Sign Up” to create a new user account. Enter Project

Owner shall be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any,
obtained from sources other than Projectdog Inc. Questions regarding the website or project distribution
should be directed to Projectdog at (978) 499-9014. Questions concerning the bid specifications must be
submitting in writing via email to Attn: Mark Dascoli at mdascoli@marlborough-ma.gov no later than 3
business days prior to the scheduled bid opening. All questions and answers shall be distributed as an
addendum to all on record as having received the bid documents. Bidders are strongly encouraged to
attend a non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference to be held at 10:00 AM on December 4, 2025 on site at
706 Hosmer Street in Marlborough, MA. Electronic Sealed Bids will be received until 9:00 AM on
December 11, 2025 through online submission at www.Projectdog.com. Hard copies of bids will not be
accepted by Projectdog.com or by the City offices. Each sealed electronic bid shall be submitted on the
prescribed forms. Tutorials and Instructions are available online at www.Projectdog.com. Bids will be
available immediately for public view at the date and time stated above online at www.Projectdog.com.
Bids shall be clearly identified as per instructions at Projectdog’s website. Bid Security shall be at least
five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount, considering all alternates.
In accordance with the provisions of applicable statutes, laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances, the City
of Marlborough does not discriminate in employment or the provision of services and all qualified
contractors will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, religious creed, gender, handicap,
sexual orientation, veteran’s status or national origin.
The City reserves the right to cancel this procurement process, or reject in whole or in part any and all
bids, if the City determines that cancellation or rejection serves the best interests of the public to do so.
This legal notice shall also be posted by the MetroWest Daily News on the Massachusetts Newspaper
Publishers Association’s (MNPA) website (masspublicnotices.org).
