This is a brand name requirement for 43 ISTAR Edge panels to support Lexington VAMC Police Services upgraded to the existing Physical Access Control System (PACS) system to include hardware, software, and firmware with additional maintenance and support. The current panels installed will no longer be supported by the manufacturer and failure to upgrade will result in the PACS system ceasing to function. These upgrades will ensure VA compliance with VA Policy 0730 requirements for door entry controls. The PACS system is used throughout the Lexington VA hospital and Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC).
