Description:

Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Fremont, Nebraska, at the City Office, 400 E. Military Avenue, Fremont, NE 68025, until Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 2:00pm CST, and be publicly opened and read in the Council Chambers at that time, for construction of a bridge rehabilitation project and associated street work in Fremont, Nebraska and other work incidental thereto. The sealed bids are to be plainly marked “Attention: Fremont City Clerk, North Broad Street Viaduct Rehabilitation Project, Project No. BR-12-25 - Structure No. U095011601”.

The sealed bids are to be sent or submitted to the Fremont City Clerk, 400 E. Military Avenue, Fremont, NE 68025.

The work shall include all labor, materials, transportation, and equipment required for the construction of:

Sta. 145+96.81     Rehabilitate Viaduct and Rehabilitate, Repair, or Replace Adjacent Roadway and Sidewalks

Copies of the Bid Documents and Specifications are on file and open to public inspection at the following locations:

  • City of Fremont City Offices, 400 E. Military Avenue, Fremont NE 68025
  • Speece Lewis, a Bowman Company,, Inc., 906 S 26 th Street, Lincoln NE 68510

A set of plans may be obtained from Speece Lewis, a Bowman Company, Inc., 906 S 26 th Street, Lincoln NE, 68510, for a nonrefundable fee of $30.00 for electronic copies or $40.00 for a hard copy.

Proposals must be signed and submitted on the forms furnished with the Bid Documents. Please only submit Division 5. Each bidder will be required to submit with his proposal a Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable, without condition, to the City of Fremont, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of his proposal.

The bidder will include an estimated time of beginning and completion for the project with the proposal. The Contractor will be allowed 270 calendar days for the completion of the work. Construction may not commence until all permits, including railroad permits, are obtained. The required substantial completion date of the project is September 1, 2027. The required final completion date of the project is September 15, 2027.

The City of Fremont reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities. The City of Fremont is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
