Sealed Proposals for grounds maintenance at North Charleston Senior Center at Otranto Road & Fire Station will be received by the City of North Charleston until 2:00PM, Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at North Charleston City Hall Lane, 3 rd Floor, Procurement Department.

This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) from the City of North Charleston to qualified bidders. We are requesting Proposals for grounds maintenance at North Charleston Senior Center at Otranto Road & Fire Station. The City is requesting a proposal that details the Contractors plans for maintenance. This shall be separated into two parts. Maintenance Level A (July 01- Oct 31 and March 01- June 30) and Maintenance Level B (November 01- February 28/29). We also ask that the contractor submits a base price as well as alternatives that could be included but that are not required for general maintenance. The City also requests a cost sheet be turned in with each proposal. This shall include unit costs for each line item described in the proposal.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals, to waive any technicalities or informalities, and to be the sole judge of the suitability of the firm to provide the required services.

This property includes maintenance of the area around the North Charleston Senior Center as well as the Fire station off Otranto Rd. This property will have an initial clean up before the start date of the contract. Please keep that in mind when visiting the property. This contract also includes the police substation on the property. Please refer to the “Map of Service Area” for the general outline.

Each Bidder should visit the site of the proposed work and fully acquaint themselves with the existing conditions relating to the scope of work.
