Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a Solicitation Notice for Sediment Removal, Northfield Brook Lake, Thomaston, CT.



THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials to remove sediment within Northfield Brook Lake. Approximately 1,200 cubic yards (yd3) of material shall be removed and transported by the Contractor to an upland location at the downstream side of the dam within the Northfield Brook Lake property, for storage on Government property. This work includes removal and relocation of sediment that deposited in the lake over time due to flood operations and surrounding development, as well as installation of erosion and sediment (E&S) control measures in accordance with DOT standards.



Mobilization and staging of heavy equipment will be required to safely and effectively remove sediment in and around the specified areas. Heavy equipment will generally work from the lake and waterway embankments. Sediment removed may require temporary offloading sites along the embankments to await transport to the designated final storage site on Government property. All temporary offloading sites and final storage site will require erosion and sediment controls.

This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 238910 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19 Million.



ALL VENDORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY VENDOR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON RESPONSIVE.
