Invitation to Bid for Scrap Lead Acid Batteries located at Naval Weapons Station (NWS) Seal Beach

The Navy Region Southwest (NRSW) Qualified Recycling Program (QRP) is currently accepting bids for a one-year term sale agreement for Scrap Lead Acid Batteries.

Below is a brief overview of the sale details:

  Material: Scrap Lead Acid Batteries (including automotive, forklift, airplane, metal encased, and small batteries).

  
  


• Estimated Volume: Approximately 34,000 pounds annually.


• 
  

  Location: Naval Weapons Station (NWS) Seal Beach (including pick-up sites at Det. Fallbrook and NAVSEA Norco).

  
  


•

• Bid Deadline: April 16, 2026, strictly no later than 2:00 P.M. Pacific Time.

Important Submission Requirements:

• Bids must be submitted via commercial carrier service ONLY (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL).


• E-mailed, faxed, hand-carried, or United States Postal Service (USPS) submittals will not be accepted.

  Your bid submittal must include a current U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ID number (or the EPA ID of your processing facility).
