Bid #25058 - Sills Gully Restoration Project

The site of the proposed general construction for the Sills Gully Restoration Project is located in the Town of Brookhaven, adjacent to Sills Gully Road and Briarcliff Road in Shoreham. The Town intends to construct new stormwater and drainage improvements to protect against future storm events.

This project is funded by FEMA grant monies and as such is subject to the standards of the Granting Agency. In accordance with federal law, 2 CFR § 200.321, the Town must take all necessary and affirmative steps to assure that small business, minority businesses, women’s business enterprises, veteran-owned businesses, and labor surplus area firms are used when possible and complies with Executive Order 11246, “Equal Employment Opportunity.”

The Town of Brookhaven recognizes its obligation under the law to promote opportunities for
participation of certified minority-and-women-owned. For the purposes of this project, the Town of Brookhaven has set an overall goal of 30% for MWBE participation, 15% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (“MBE”) participation and 15% for Women-Owned Business Enterprises (“WBE”) participation. Must be New York State Certified.
