Civics Education, Religious Tolerance, and New York State History of Diversity Curricular Resources
Description:

The RFP and other documents will be posted to NYSED's Funding Opportunities webpage.

The New York State Education Department (NYSED) Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is seeking proposals for 1) the development of curricular materials and professional development resources related to civics education and values, New York State’s shared history of diversity, and the role of religious tolerance in the United States; and 2) the creation of a digital platform for this resource repository. Services provided will include the development and digital publication of student- and teacher-facing resources aligned to the New York State Learning Standards, the Social Studies Framework, the Culturally Responsive-Sustaining (CR-S) Education Framework and the Social-Emotional Learning Benchmarks.

Subcontracting will be limited to thirty percent (30%) of the total contract budget. Subcontracting is defined as non-employee direct personal services and related incidental expenses, including travel.

NYSED will award up to two (2) contracts pursuant to this RFP. The contract(s) resulting from this RFP will be for a term anticipated to begin January 1, 2026, and to end December 31, 2027. Bidders may pursue either one contract or both (as listed above) in their technical proposals. Separate Technical and Cost Proposals must be submitted if bidding on both contracts.

Bidders are required to comply with NYSED’s Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) participation goals for this RFP through one of three methods. Compliance methods are discussed in detail in the Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Participation Goals section below.
