Description of Goods or Services to Be Bid : The Metropolitan Transportation Authority hereby solicits a technical and cost proposal for the performance of: i) Actuarial Services in connection with the MTA Defined Benefit Pension Plan, MABSTOA Pension Plan, Metro-North Railroad Cash Balance Plan, The Long Island Rail Road Plan for Additional Benefits and MTA Retiree Welfare Benefits Plan (for Other Post-Employment Benefits); and ii) other comparable services such as providing MTA Labor Relations with costing analysis in connection with labor contract negotiations. The MTA intends to select one or more qualified full service actuarial firm (s) to provide the Services to the MTA Board of Managers of Pensions, MTA staff with pension responsibilities and MTA Labor Relations.
