The Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission Home Care Assistance Program allows eligible individuals the option to select and direct their own service provider, known as a Home Care Assistant. This RFR is the mechanism by which individuals identified by consumers to be Home Care Assistants are determined qualified to enter into contract with the Commonwealth. Home Care Assistants are considered independent contractors who work under the direction of the eligible consumer. Responses may be submitted manually, if need for manual submission is justified. All vendors must be registered in COMMBUYS prior to contract execution, even if response is submitted manually. Submissions must be mailed to: Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, Contracts Department, 600 Washington Street, 1st Floor, Boston, MA 02111.
