The Fitchburg Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the State Aided Development: CJ Durkin Apartments (667-5) in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by CSS Architects Inc.
The Project consists of: Replacement of roofing system, doors and walkways. Replacement of Rooftop equipment and lightning protection system.
The work is estimated to cost $3,172,000.
Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 Section 44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 Sections 26 to 27H inclusive.
General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of General Building Construction.
General Bids will be received until 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 8, 2025 and publicly opened, forthwith.
Filed sub-bids for the trades listed below will be received until 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 24, 2025 and opened forthwith.
Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder's Update Statement.

Enter Project Code #097202 in the project locator box and select "Acquire Documents" to download documents or to purchase hard copies. Contract documents may also be viewed, but not removed, from the offices of Projectdog, Inc., 18 Graf Road - Unit 8, Newburyport, MA 01950, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Any and all addenda shall be posted online at Projectdog.com. Each individual or firm recorded as having received the contract documents will be notified by email if and when addenda are issued. Hard copies of addenda will not be mailed or faxed to plan holders. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to review any and all addenda prior to the bid opening either online or at the offices of Projectdog, Inc.
General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Fitchburg Housing Authority.
Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available electronically or for purchase at cost.
Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $50.00 per set, payable to the Awarding Authority, to cover mail handling costs.
Diversity Requirement:
General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 13% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to EOHLC at chad.howard@mass.gov five calendar days prior to the General Bid date. No waivers will be granted after the general bids are opened.
