Norfolk Naval Shipyard intends to solicit for the repair and maintenance of the #1 and #2 Ship Service Turbine Generators (SSTGs) Shipboard. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source can fulfill this requirement. Northrop Grumman Marine Systems (NGMS) (cage code: 90099) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and thus owns the proprietary data, including drawings, equipment, and approved processes required to perform this work. A solicitation will be available upon request on or around 02/15/2025. Justification and approval for sole source will be posted after award.
In accordance with DFAR PGI 206.302-1, a Sources Sought Notice, N3904025Q3051, was posted to the Government Point of Entry (GPE), SAM.gov, from 10/07/2025 through10/25/2025 by PNSY, to determine whether other sources could satisfy this requirement. The Government received no responses from industry indicating capability in performing the requirement which was confirmed by PNSY via email from the POC, Mr. Gordon Roberts, dated 12/11/2025.
The applicable North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336611 Ship Building and Repair with a size standard of 1,300 employees. The Product Service Code is J020 Maintenance, Repair, Rebuilding of Equipment-Ship and Marine Equipment.
