Water Service Line Replacement Project
This project involves the replacement of 48 resident side and 4 city side water service lines to improve system reliability and water quality. The replacement work is being conducted to comply with the EPA mandate requiring the removal and replacement of lead and galvanized service lines.
The project includes providing cost estimates for both the private (residential) and public (city) portions of each service line. Each residence will require an estimated cost for the portion from the shutoff valve to the building, including connection to the existing plumbing. A licensed plumber must be subcontracted for this work. In addition, a separate estimate will be needed for the city side of each service line replacement.
All work must comply with Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements and the Davis-Bacon Act. The City is seeking qualified vendors experienced in utility and plumbing coordination for this federally funded project.
