TO BIDDERS AND PLAN HOLDERS ON THE ABOVE REFERENCED PROJECT: PLEASE NOTE CONTENTS HEREIN AND INCLUDE, SIGNED, WITH YOUR BID SUBMISSION.

It will be required that this addendum be signed in acknowledgment of receipt and that it be included with your Bid when same is submitted to Logan Lee-Marple, Contracts Specialist, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd., MS #520, Tallahassee, Florida, 32399-3000. Failure to do so may be grounds for rejection of the Bid.

The following statements supersede & supplement the corresponding items in the specifications & drawings:

1. Question: Who has the Fire Alarm contract for the warehouse?

Answer: There is no fire alarm system out there. The fire alarm devices we’re adding for AHU shutdown are stand-alone.

2. Question: One of our potential vendors was concerned about fire calking between the large spaces, specifically between R4 (2nd floor warehouse) and R1/2/3 (erector set shelving). Have you got a simple plan showing firewalls?

Answer: The rated walls are identified on LS001 with black diamonds.  All need to be rated 1-hour. The ones with a single repeating diamond are stud frame construction.  The ones with a double diamond are CMU.

The bid submittal due date and bid posting date for this project have been postponed:

BID SUBMITTAL DUE DATE: No later than 3:30 PM (ET), Thursday, June 18, 2026, to the below address: Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd., MS #520, Tallahassee, Florida, 32399-3000, Attention: Logan Lee-Marple, Contracts Specialist, Bureau of Design and Construction, (850) 245-2519.  (For hand delivery: Carr Building, Welcome Desk.) The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

BID POSTING DATE: No later than 3:30 PM (ET), Thursday, June 25, 2026, unless extended by the Department for good cause.

In all other respects, the contract documents of which this is an Addendum, and attachments relative thereto, shall remain in full force and effect.
