Summary

The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) is requesting bids for annual preventative maintenance, inspection preparations, combustion testing, diagnostic, and repair services for boilers located at the NEORSD facilities The contract will provide for annual preventive maintenance services and as-needed repairs on 41 District-owned boilers located at the Easterly, Southerly, and Westerly Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs); the Easterly Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station (ETDPS); the Environmental Maintenance and Services Center (EMSC); and the George J. McMonagle (GJM) Administration Building. The duration of the requirement contract with the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) shall be twenty-four (24) months, or until the funds appropriated to this Contract are exhausted, whichever should occur first from the effective date of this Contract.

Background

The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (Sewer District) protects public health and the environment by leading effective wastewater and stormwater management. As the largest wastewater treatment provider in the State of Ohio, the Sewer District spans 380 square miles, serves 62 communities and one million residents, treats 90 billion gallons of wastewater a year, and manages more than 400 miles of streams.

In addition to its award-winning treatment plant and laboratory performance, the Sewer District's Project Clean Lake construction program will reduce annual Lake Erie pollution by 4 billion gallons by 2035, while its Regional Stormwater Management Program addresses widespread inter-community problems like flooding, pollution, and erosion.
