Repair Water Infiltration & Renovate Lower Level - Bray Hall

The State University Construction Fund is seeking Statements of Qualifications from consultants to provide design and construction administration services for the Repair Water Infiltration & Renovate Lower Level – Bray Hall project at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.

Bray Hall, constructed in 1917, is a 95,535 GSF, four-story building with basement that houses Business, Sustainable Resource Management, and the University Police Department. The Project will address the basement water infiltration and renovate a portion of the basement area to better serve the University Police Department. The water infiltration has compromised the foundation wall including the wall’s interior. The spaces adjacent to the exterior wall, especially on the South end of the building have become unusable.

The Project includes a partial interior renovation of 7,900 SF of the building that serves the University Police Department and include new walls, ceiling, floors, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and windows. A damaged storm pipe underneath the corridor floor will be replaced. A Hazardous materials survey will be required. The Project also includes an embedded program study to determine the needs of the University Police Department.

The Project will also include a comprehensive regrading, repair of foundation walls and waterproofing, sitework, and landscaping to promote redirection of ground water away from foundation wall. Site work includes relocation of the fire protection service and replacement of sidewalk. ADA improvements include a new steel bridge for access to the building.

The estimated construction value is estimated at: $5,983,000
