Subject: Public-Private Partnership (PPP) for the Development and Operation of an Underwater Fiber Telecommunication System in the Gulf of Mexico
Introduction: The 96th Test Wing, U.S. Air Force, is seeking information from qualified private sector entities interested in partnering to develop, finance, construct, and operate an underwater fiber high speed data telecommunication system in the Gulf of Mexico. The 96th Test Wing desires insights on potential partnership structures, innovative solutions, and the capabilities of interested parties.
Project Overview: The proposed underwater fiber telecommunication system will enhance connectivity and data transmission capabilities across the Gulf of Mexico, the state of Florida, and connecting networks. The project includes the installation of a high-capacity fiber optic cable network linking key locations in and along the Gulf Coast.
