Project Description: Sealed bids for the construction of a 75’ long steel beam and timber deck boardwalk with concrete pier supports and adjacent trails will be received online via the PennBid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) by the Lancaster County Conservancy, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania until 10:00 AM, Monday, June 29, 2026.
The bids will be publicly opened and read electronically, via PennBid’s website, at 10:00 AM (prevailing time), same date. Bid results will be available end of business day, same date.
Copies of Bidding Documents for Shenks Ferry Wildflower Preserve Pedestrian Boardwalk are available online and at no cost via the PennBid Program at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com.
NOTE: The members of Lancaster County Conservancy have authorized C.S. Davidson, Inc., to act on their behalf by opening bids. Contracts will be awarded by the Lancaster County Conservancy.
A bid bond by acceptable surety or a certified check made payable to the Lancaster County Conservancy in the amount of 10% of the maximum bid must be provided by each bidder with their bid.
A pre-bid conference will be held at the Shenks Ferry Wildflower Preserve on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 857 Green Hill Rd S, Conestoga, PA 17516. Bidder attendance is mandatory. Interested Bidders will be contacted via PennBid for how to register for the Pre-Bid Conference.
Each bidder must be prepared to submit evidence of his qualifications to perform the work.
All contractors are required to make a Good Faith Effort to provide the opportunity for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) firms to participate in the performance of this construction Contract. Documentation of such solicitations and commitments shall be submitted concurrently with the bid.
Notice is hereby given to bidders that this project is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961 (Act No. 442, P.L. 987), as amended.
The Contract Time for this project is seventy-five (75) calendar days.
The Lancaster County Conservancy reserves the right to accept any bid or reject any or all bids.
