The Town of Manchester Water and Sewer Department is seeking a capable and reliable contractor to provide for the furnish and installation of two sections of black vinyl chain-link fencing, measuring 258 feet and 296 feet, with 1 5/8-inch top and bottom rails, at the Buckingham Reservoir on Hebron Road, Manchester, CT. The project aims to enhance security and delineate boundaries at the reservoir site, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
The Manchester Water and Sewer Department operates water and wastewater treatment facilities serving Manchester, Connecticut, and portions of Glastonbury and surrounding towns. The water system includes 16,500 domestic service lines, 1,047 fire and irrigation services, and delivers an average of 5 million gallons of water daily. The water supply consists of seven reservoir impoundments, including the Buckingham Reservoir, and ten groundwater wells, with a total capacity of 9.8 million gallons per day. The Buckingham Reservoir, located on Hebron Road, is a critical asset requiring secure perimeter fencing to protect the facility and ensure public safety.
