Purpose

Public Notice Statement
The City of Sandy Springs is providing public notice of its intent to award a sole source contract to Intelligent
Transportation Services, Inc. for Sensys Networks FlexMag2 detection sensors and installation epoxy for the City's
existing SCOOT traffic-signal system. The vendor has been identified as the sole source for this purchase based on the
justification provided in this form.
Any supplier that believes it can provide the required goods or services may submit a written challenge to the City of Sandy
Springs Procurement Office before the posted closing date and time. Challenges must include documentation showing the
supplier can meet the City's stated requirements.

Purchase 60 Sensys Networks FlexMag2 wireless vehicle-detection sensors (VSN240-F-2) and 50 tubes of Sensys
installation epoxy (VSN240-EPX-SOT-01). The items will serve as maintenance and replacement stock for Sensys detection
equipment supporting the City's SCOOT program at approximately 75 signals.
Exclusive Capabilities
Sensys components are required to maintain compatibility with the City's installed in-pavement detection infrastructure and
lane-specific SCOOT data. Sensys Networks' May 26, 2026 letter identifies Intelligent Transportation Services as the only
company authorized to resell and support Sensys wireless detection systems in Georgia and confirms the firm's product
training.
Market Research / Basis for Sole Source
The City reviewed its field experience with other detection technologies. Currux Vision reportedly failed repeatedly during
City testing; Wavetronix radar did not provide required lane-by-lane volumes; and Iteris Vector would introduce a different,
comparatively more costly solution. Temple, the former Georgia Sensys representative, no longer supports the product.
Public searches of GDOT, Georgia statewide, Sourcewell, OMNIA, BuyBoard, and federal contract records found no active
contract awarded directly to Intelligent Transportation Services. The OEM letter confirms ITS as the only authorized Georgia
reseller/support source.
