Description

The City of Leduc is proceeding with the following procurement:
Notice is hereby given by the City of Leduc (City) of its intent to contract with Demers Ambulances for the purchase of two Type I 4 x 4 Ambulances. This procurement is estimated at approximately $756,210.

It is the intent of the City to award this procurement for the following reasons:
•        Demers Ambulances is the only known Canadian ambulance manufacturer meeting Provincial (Alberta) and Federal regulations.
•        The ambulances will meet all Department of Transportation requirements and comply with applicable ambulance and vehicle standards, including Alberta Health Services ambulance design standards.
•        Demers Ambulances build and service their own product line and all work is performed by qualified and experienced personnel.
•        Demers Ambulances is a part of an industry leading group of ambulance manufacturers that includes Demers Braun Crestline and Medix Specialty Ambulances.

For consideration, any party that wishes to object to this proposed procurement action must contact the individual listed below by e-mail, by the closing date and time. Communications received after the closing date and time will not be considered. Vendor communication must include specific information relating to the vendor’s ability, qualifications, and proven experience and solutions to offer a cost effective, comparable product and service that meets or exceeds the solution provided by Demers Ambulances and would be advantageous to the City. This information will be used as the criteria for consideration.

The City reserves the right to determine the relevance of any communication received and accept or reject the communication as deemed in the best interest of the City. The decision to accept or reject will be based on the City’s determination of the vendor’s statement of capabilities successfully meeting or exceeding the requirements.
