Riley County Plaza East Building Window Replacement

Sealed Bids will be received by Riley County, Kansas at the Office of the County Clerk for the  construction of:

Riley County Plaza East Building Window Replacement Floors 1-3 115 North 4 ^th Street  Manhattan, KS 66502.

Bids will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Office of the County Clerk, located in the Riley County Office Building, 110 Courthouse Plaza, Manhattan, KS.   Bids will be opened and read aloud at 9:50 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, during the Board of County Commissioners meeting on the first floor at the Courthouse Plaza East Building, 115 N. 4 ^th , Manhattan, KS.

Principal Items of Work:  The scope of work of the project includes removal of approximately 67 steel windows and frames, three storefront installations, and one hollow metal door and frame.  Replacement with like design aluminum double hung and fixed windows, storefront and hollow metal door units. Alternate and unit prices also pertain.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on the 1 ^st Floor, Courthouse Plaza East Building, 115 N. 4 ^th , Manhattan, KS on Tuesday February 11, 2025 at 9 am.  At the pre-bid conference the Owner’s preferred sequence will be noted and included by addendum to the bid documents.  Copies of the Drawings and other Contract Documents are on file and available for public inspection at the Office of the County Clerk located in the Riley County Office Building, 110 Courthouse Plaza, Manhattan, KS 66502, (785) 537-6300 and Baker McMillan Architects, P.A., 555 Poyntz Avenue, Suite 295, Manhattan, KS 66502, (785) 776-1011.

A Bid Security made payable to Riley County, Kansas in the form of a certified check on a solvent Kansas bank or a satisfactory bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid price must accompany each Bid.

All bidders must be on the plan holders list to be eligible.

No Bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of 30 days following the opening of Bids. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded will be required to furnish acceptable Performance and Statutory Bonds utilizing the forms provided in the specifications, each in the amount of the total contract price, in conformance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The character and amount of security to be furnished by each Bidder is stated in the above-mentioned Contract Documents. Calendar Days, the Proposed Start Date, and Bid Amount will all be considered in awarding of the Bid.
