This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, St. John’s Parole Office and St. John’s Community Correctional Centres in Atlantic Region.

Nature of Requirements:

The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

Correctional Service Canada (CSC) Health Services require the services of a licensed physician with a specialty in psychiatry (referred to herein as a psychiatrist) at the St. John’s Parole Office and the St. John’s CCC for offenders released in the community and still under CSC’s care and responsibility in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Objectives: Provide and actively participate in the coordination of essential mental health services as a psychiatrist at the St. John’s Parole Office and the St. John’s CCC, for offenders in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Deliverables: At the request of the Project Authority, the Contractor must:

Provide mental health services to offenders in accordance with the National Essential Health Services Framework.

Prepare the relevant documentation for the provincial Administrative Tribunal or Public Curator

Prepare the relevant documentation for those cases requiring an order for treatment against the will of the offender or order of custody in an institution, in accordance with Provincial Legislation.

Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none.
