Description
GENERAL INFORMATION: This is a non-personnel services contract to provide inspection, relining and repairs to six (6) sodium hypochlorite tanks at Dalecarlia Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and six (6) sodium hypochlorite tanks at McMillan Water Treatment Plant (WTP). The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government.Description of Services/Introduction: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform repairs to six (6) Sodium Hypochlorite tanks with 20,000 gallons capacity each at the Dalecarlia Water Treatment Plant, and six (6) Sodium Hypochlorite tanks with 15,000 gallons capacity each at the McMillan Water Treatment Plant as defined in this Performance Work Statement. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract. Background: In connection with the performance of its potable water treatment program, the Washington Aqueduct Division maintains municipal water treatment plants at two locations in Washington, DC. The Washington Aqueduct uses sodium hypochlorite in the disinfection processes of water treatment, and to comply with EPA requirements. There are twelve (12) sodium hypochlorite tanks that are approaching end of life for the tanks? internal lining, which have started to delaminate requiring relining and repair.
