Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the demolition of the Rappel Tower at Fort Devens Reserve Force Training Area, Devens, Massachusetts. This notice is not a request for proposals. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% Small Business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 238910- Site Preparation Contractors, and the applicable Small Business Size Standard, as established by the U.S. Small Business Administration, is $ 16.5 million.





The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. The scope of work will include all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for demolition of the tower, removal and disposal of all waste, and the disconnection of site utilities.





In accordance with Revolutionary FAR Overhaul FAR 12.201-1(c)(2), the Government may solicit quotations directly from suppliers for this acquisition at or below the simplified acquisition threshold. Vendors that respond to this notice and provide a valid point of contact MAY BE issued the solicitation directly via email. It is the vendor’s responsibility to notify the points of contact below of their interest in this requirement.





The solicitation (RFQ) will be issued on or about February 27, 2026. Telephonic inquires will not be honored.





If adequate competition is not received, the RFQ will be posted to SAM.gov.





Interested vendors are encouraged to email the Contracting Officer, Amanda Mobley at almobley@fbi.gov and the Contract Specialist, Reuben McCurdy at rbmccurdy@fbi.gov. Ensure the subject of your email contains the words, “Fort Devens Rappel Tower Demolition.”
