QUALITY ASSURANCE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE TWIN CHIMNEYS LANDFILL UNIT 4 CELL 5

The County of Greenville is seeking proposals from engineering firms in response to QUALITY ASSURANCE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE TWIN CHIMNEYS LANDFILL UNIT 4 CELL 5. The successful firm will be required to provide Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) field services in compliance with the Construction Quality Assurance Plan as included in Attachment A. Twin Chimneys Landfill Unit 4 Cell 5 Liner Construction Documents Project Manual issued for Proposal prepared by HDR Engineering, Inc. of the Carolinas dated July 2026. Services shall be performed in a detailed, comprehensive manner to allow for certification of all aspects of construction contract. A report on the CQA services provided during the project will be required for submittal to the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) within 30 days of substantial completion of the construction.

The Twin Chimneys Landfill is located in southern Greenville County, along Highway US 25, near the Laurens County border. Four (4) cells of the Landfill site have been constructed. This project will include construction of approximately 8.6 acres as the fifth cell in Unit 4. The construction area is contiguous to the active disposal area. Included in the project is the construction and installation of a composite liner system, and leachate drainage system.
