CO Notice #2 to extend contract end date to 12/31/25. Field collection has been significantly delayed (3 months) due to extended cold temperatures and ice conditions on the river since December 2024. Earlier in 2024 additional delays (2 months) were encountered in survey and depth of refusal measurements due to high river conditions during the summer. The depth of refusal data was critical to formulating the sediment sampling plan. Unfortunately, these delays worked against the project timeline in series rather than in parallel creating 5 months of delays. The delayed sediment sampling data delayed the following work: geomorphic assessment, sediment fate analysis, sediment management plan, proposed hydraulic modeling and formulation of proposed alternatives. In turn, these tasks are required before the alternative impacts, concept plans and costs, and the project planning and feasibility report can be completed.
